I’m Lesley, the artist, designer, and founder of Plumtree Design Studio.

With more than 20 years of experience in the art and design industry, I’ve built my career around creativity, craftsmanship, and helping others discover the joy of making. I spent 18 years working at Cleveland State University, where I continued to grow as a designer and creative professional before taking the leap to build something of my own.

Plumtree Design Studio began many years ago as a small home-based creative business. What started around my kitchen table has grown into a full art studio and creative space, and in 2026, I opened the doors to Plumtree Design Studio in Elyria, Ohio.

Today, Plumtree is a place where creativity is meant to be shared. From art classes and hands-on workshops to private events, creative gatherings, and custom design work, my goal is to create experiences that inspire people of all ages to slow down, make something, and enjoy the process.

Outside of the studio, I’m a wife and mom to a young daughter who attends North Ridgeville Ranger High Tech Academy. Being a mom has given me an even greater appreciation for the importance of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning for kids.

I’m excited to continue growing Plumtree and creating a space where art, community, and creativity come together.
